Terms of Service

Last updated 4 October 2026
The short version:

1. Who we are

New Business Radar is run by Reuben Jackson Bland, a sole trader based in Queensland, Australia (ABN 98 402 261 806). "We", "us" and "our" mean New Business Radar. "You" means the person or business subscribing. You can contact us at reuben@newbusinessradar.com.au.

2. What you get

Each week we send you a briefing listing businesses recently registered in the Australian Business Register for the postcodes and business types you choose. It includes a ranked shortlist with the reasons behind each pick, the full list for your area, a CSV download, suggested introduction templates and access to your Radar Board.

Where we can, we add details that businesses have published publicly themselves, such as their website, or the email and phone number shown on it or on their public business listing. Many brand-new businesses haven't published any contact details yet. When that's the case, the briefing says so.

3. Where the data comes from, and its limits

Registration data comes from the Australian Business Register bulk extract, published by the Australian Government on data.gov.au under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia licence. The government publishes it weekly, so your briefing reflects the most recent weekly release. It is not same-day data.

We work hard to make every briefing accurate and useful, but we rely on government and public sources we don't control. We can't guarantee that every entry is complete or correct, that every business will need your services, or that you'll win any particular amount of work. Match scores and industry labels are our best automated estimates, not facts about the business.

4. Price and payment

5. Cancelling

You can cancel anytime from your billing page, or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing month, and you'll keep receiving briefings until then. There are no lock-in contracts or cancellation fees.

6. Refunds

If your first month doesn't put real prospects in front of you, email us within 30 days of your first payment and we'll refund that month in full. After your first month, we don't refund part-months, except where the law requires it.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't lawfully be excluded.

7. How you can use the briefing

If these rules are seriously or repeatedly broken, we may end your subscription and refund any unused portion.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits or missed opportunities, arising from the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the three months before the claim. This doesn't limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the service grows. If we make a significant change, we'll email you at least 14 days before it takes effect, and you're free to cancel if you don't agree. Changes won't increase the founding rate of an active founding subscription.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
